everyone is welcome

Accessibility

A neighborhood parlor should be easy to visit, online and in person. Here’s how we approach it.

Last updated October 7, 2026

Our commitment

We want everyone to be able to find our flavors, check our hours, and get in touch, whatever device or assistive technology they use. Accessibility is part of how we design and update the site, not something we add at the end.

What’s built in

Full keyboard navigation with clearly visible focus outlines.

Meaningful page titles, a logical heading structure, and labeled navigation areas.

Form fields with visible labels and built-in validation messages.

Text alternatives for informative images.

Text colors chosen to meet WCAG AA contrast against their backgrounds.

Layouts that adapt to small screens and up to 200% browser zoom without losing content.

Animations that stop when your device is set to reduce motion.

Compatibility

The site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge, and with common screen readers such as VoiceOver and NVDA. Older browsers may display the site differently, but its content should remain available.

Known limitations

We’re honest about what we’re still working on:

The photos at the top of the home page and the customer quotes change automatically. They stop moving when your device’s reduced-motion setting is turned on.

Some decorative photo areas are still being finalized and may be described more generally than we’d like.

Visiting the parlor

If you have questions about getting into the parlor, seating, or ordering, call us before your visit and we’ll tell you what to expect. Our team is always happy to read the menu aloud, describe flavors, or bring your order to you.

How we check

We review the site using keyboard-only navigation, screen readers, browser zoom, and automated testing tools. This statement reflects our own assessment. The site hasn’t yet been independently audited, and this page isn’t a claim of certified conformance.

Feedback

If something on the site doesn’t work for you, please tell us. It helps to know which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what device or assistive technology you were using. We aim to reply within two business days.
